Preliminary and parameter design of new common oil pipeline (COP) fed oil storage and distribution terminal in Dublin Port. Terminal is to be located on brown field site with connections to existing import facilities and 3No exist-ing fuel farms. New terminal to have the storage capacity of 60,000 tonnes in 10No. vertical storage tanks, 8No. horizontal tanks and 8No. bottom loading gantries for vehicle loading including a Vapour Recovery System. The products stored / loaded to vehicles are Petrol, Kerosene, Derv, Gas Oil, and Biofuel blend products of FAME and Ethanol. The terminal also has inter fuel farm transfers and 6No. tanks are designed and constructed for storing Aviation grade Kerosene to Jig 3 standard.

PDE were engaged as Project Supervisor Design Phase (PSDP) for this project, with responsibility for:

  • Control & Automation, PLC & SCADA software, control room and ancillary buildings parameter design
  • Technical Scopes of Work for design & build tender
  • Equipment Specifications
  • Health & Safety Consultancy – ensuring compliance with Seveso, all environmental regulations & Process Safety Leadership Group recommendations.
