PDE were commissioned to complete the impervious upgrade of Valero UK, Manchester Terminal, Bund A and Cardiff Terminal, Spirit Bund. The scope of works included the complete mechanical, electrical and civil design and tender packages preparation for the project.

Project Specifics, include:

• Designing the pipe work system which allowed for the repositioning of existing pipe work and the removal of redundant pipe work
• Rerouting of existing cables and a new bund/tank earthing system
• The associated controls required for a new electric sump pump complete with hydrocarbon detection.
• Design of raw-mat floor, complete with overburden and ‘French’ drain system
